Perfect for what we needed.

Keeps our master bedroom nice and cool. After a 3rd floor renovation the HVAC was not designed for that large of an area without making the rest of the lowers levels too frigid. This unit makes up for it and now we dont have to keep our central air blasting to bring the third floor to a livable temperature.

I bought this a couple of months ago and while I overall enjoy it I feel like some aspects could be better. Its quite loud the filter seems constant dirty and it doesnt seem to get as cold as my other models.

Great Nights Sleep

I bought this LO0821GSSM air conditioner about three weeks ago and really couldnt be happier. It is the second one Ive owned having given my first one to my daughter. Its very hot here in the Tucson AZ area. What I use my LG for is cooling our bedroom at night closing the bedroom door and turning off the central cooling throughout the night. This LG cools the room sufficiently and allows us a great nights sleep. We usually set the timer for 4-5 hrs. Great unit great savings.

Total Disappointment

Total disappointment in this product. The unit was purchase in July 2022 when my home unit went out. Used only for a week and carefully packed in the original box to be used as a backup for the next time I would need it. Forward to today July 4th the home unit compressor motor died and so is this portable unit. Went through all the troubleshooting and still not cooling. Definitely wasnt expecting that from a LG product.

Decent product Reliable

I have had this unit for 3 or 4 years has worked fine. Blows pretty cool not cold. Could be a touch quieter. I can sleep with it on. The exhaust hose gets hot and where it connects to the part that goes in the window slips out easy needs to slide in a little deeper or lock in Exhaust hose connection to the back of AC could be better. Big problem is the Air share 8000 BTU 10000 BTU air hare. Sounds great but what is happening is that creates a suction If you feel around youre drawing warm air in from under doors and other places that air can flow through. How do you cool a room properly this way Maybe LG can explain??? If you check around the exhaust that goes out the window you will feel air is being suck in warm air I had an LG 8000 BTU 8000 BTU air share for six years. I think it cooled better. There was no suction around the exhaust going out the window or any other places. I used both products in the camper built from a cargo trailer and in the house. This one when used in the camper suction is so strong it sucks in water when its raining out from every nook and cranny water comes close to. Did not happen with the 8000 BTU 8000 BTU air share. In the house you could feel air coming from other places in a closed room.. LG please go back to 10000 BTU and 1000BTU air share set up. Yes it looks good for the advertisement but doesnt work in real life. I Like most of your products. This one works but could be better. Over all Decent product Reliable Air flow good and Air is fairly cool. Wish it was a little les costly but thats a given for everything today Wouldve rated it better but for the Air share problem.

Worst customer service ever

Bought in 2022 and it worked well enough. I purchased an extended warranty thinking Id be covered if anything needed fixing. This year the ac wont cool. Ive spent an entire day on The phone with people who keep sending me in circles saying to talking to this person or this person. I cant get through to anyone and no matter what information I give the system it thinks Im trying to repair a fridge. Literally worst customer service Ive ever had and Im frustrated and mad at the time and money spent here. Will not be recommending lg to anyone.

Works great. I bought two I like it so much. For some reason on one of the units that I use on the second floor the reservoir fills up with water and requires regular emptying which is inconvenient because of how heavy the unit is. The downstairs unit and my other portable air conditioners have never needed to be emptied of water. Somewhat perplexed by this but the unit works great otherwise.

Great bedroom chiller

I bought this a couple of weeks ago to chill the master bedroom without having to bring the whole house down to 65 degrees using the 4 ton unit on the main level. It does a great job and with the Thin Q App I can set the timer to come on each evening before bedtime so the room is nice and cool before sleeptime. It is so quiet that I cannot discern when the compressor cycles on and off. I can heartily recommend this unit to anyone seeking to accomplish the same.

Help for the heatwave

I have a restaurant in Louisiana and we have had record heat for over a month. The interior of the restaurant where we cook had reached 89 degrees and I needed to do something. Bought this to supplement the 4 permanent air conditioners I have in the building. It helped keep it down below 84 degrees on the hottest days.

It was getting heavier and heavier each year to lift in and then to lift out. Im only 68 so I dont understand why that is Lol. This portable one will be a breeze to put away when summer is over.

Cools nicely but loud for a bedroom

Bought this for our second story bedroom. Always felt anxious about hanging an ac out the second story window. This floor unit cooled the bedroom 17x17 but was too loud for sleeping for us moved it to the living room where the noise is more acceptable.

selling after a year

easy to set up but does not feel cold in any way. using it in a 300 sq ft room and im sweating every night. it actually feels colder outside. the dehumidifier isnt that good. from what i have read portable acs just arent good. will sell this as i couldnt take it anymore and bought a window unit.

LG A Turn-key plug and play solution

After considerable research here we are my LG Best friend and I... Basically a plug and play device thats working on cooling off my 350sq.ft. apartment and boy does the fan speed #2 blows like a hurricane..almost Im impressed with how simple theyve made everything including the well advertised Casters ..I was kinda dreading having to screw them in while turning the unit over but wow LG pre-installed them just one example of the little extras that they did which eliminated the need to do that making this a true Turn-key plug and play operation. The price was the same at all three places I checked including Amazon. Ill update you more when I use the additional features but as you can see I just quickly installed it until I can get the window vent delivered. Youll really like the ease of it.

Good AC unit to be able to control by phone

Ive been using this Air conditioner just over a year now. Overall its been really great to be able to control the temperature of my house by my phone for my dog while Im at work. Its nice not needing to run the AC constantly when I leave just when the temperature starts to get warm. I do wish the app for the AC unit would notify if perhaps the temperature of the room rose past a set limit or something similar as it seems to be recording the temperature on its own anyway. I purchased another device from another company to detect and notify me of the temperature in the room.

LG 8000 BTU Portable A/C

I bought this portable A/c unit for our office room which we spend a great time of our day. This room is on the west side of the house and the furthest from the central air unit. Therefore the afternoon Phoenix heat will heat this room as much as 10 degrees over the rest of the house. This unit does the job.....nicely. The fact that it is wifi compatable with the Google Home System was a real plus.....I completely operate the unit via the LG-ThinQ app and Google voice commands. Im very happy that I purchased this LG portable A/c unit.

With the humidity and hot weather we have been having this floor ac at one end of my home and a small window ac in the bedroom at the other end of my 1326 square foot home has me covered. Its a little pricey but well worth it for the efficiency and comfort. Has not effected the electric bill much either

Bought may of 2022. Used for maybe 5 months then put away for the winter. Get it out this Mayof course right after the warranty was up and it doesnt cool. Not satisfied at all that I got les than 6 months of use before this unit failed. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Best cust. ser had was a list of repair centers.

I bought this air conditioner about 2 weeks ago and when I took it out of the box and got it all hooked up it made a terrible loud noise from where the vent hose was connected to. I filled out a form for a repair or replacement to LG and they said theyll get in contact with me in 3 to 5 business days. Its been two weeks and heard nothing from LG. The hot summer is coming.
