This is a warning about my experience with my LG dryer. Ive never written a comment before but I felt it important to share my recent experience. I bought the LG washer-dryer combo for its larger capacity hoping to wash large comforters at home instead of at a public laundromat. The salesperson assured me that LG quality had improved. The dryer was installed without issues but we didnt use it for a couple of days. When we finally did the dryer made a persistent rattling noise when closing the door indicating something was loose inside. To ensure this wasnt normal I tested the same model at other stores and found no similar issues. I reported the problem to the local store a week later requesting a replacement but they only offered to send a technician to disassemble my brand new dryer. Who wants their new dryer taken apart immediately? Hoping for a better resolution I contacted the LG Presidential Office but they offered the same unsatisfactory response. My main complaint is that the dryer was defective upon installation and I shouldnt have to deal with a disassembled or rattling unit. My advice is to thoroughly inspect the product before installation. Once its plugged in and used it becomes your problem to fix or live with. LG has lost a customer.

Fantastic Dryer

Love my dryer. With a family of 5 we needed something much larger to handle the familys laundry needs. This dryer not only dries the clothes much in a shorter amount of time but it also allows me to dry all of our comforters. I no longer need to visit the laundromat.

I have 5 adults and several pets living in the house and wanted to get the biggest and most efficient machines that I could. We got the gas washer and dryer set and the stands. PROS: Capacity is very large. They wash and dry much more quickly then my old units. They look very nice. The height when on the stands is good a little low as I need to bend down a bit to unload but it it a good height to drop everything in a laundry basket. The app notifications are super handy. Its great to know that I can go out and swap loads and not have to keep checking them. CONS: I really did not want a smart appliance Ive always felt that is just one more thing that can go wrong. The settings are not as flexible as my old unit. Once you choose a setting there are very few changes that can be made. I prefer to dry everything on a low heat setting as it is less damaging to clothes but had to download the option. I would prefer that each of the standard settings allowed more tweaking. The app seems to be fine. But I would prefer the option to make more changes to the standard options. All in all I am happy with the units. I hope that they hold up well.

Once installed and turned on the inside of the Dryer was omitting a significant amount of gas. In order to avoid an explosion the Dyer was immediately turned off and unplugged. I reached out to LG customer service multiple times requesting that the unit be removed from my property and not to experiment with the Dryer on my property as this poses a risk to my life and property. Not only were my concerns discounted but LG also closed my case and said to contact the dealer Home Depot. Based on the above I have a foundation to assume LG sold a counterfeit Dryer and quickly closed my case which indicates a larger fraudulent scheme with risks to human life. 8 months later LG sent a service provider who tested the machine for gas level with my gas line off and said their is no gas obviously there will be no gas if gas is still off. As part of the service they turned off my range gas line requiring me to inquire extra cost to determine why my range wasnt working. Given LG sent incompetent service I have a further foundation to assume LG is engaging in a fraudulent scheme. Save your life time and money.

Purchased in Nov delivered in Feb was installed with propane changeover. April it dies and service showed up in May and replaced main power board. Working good now. For now needs to prove itself still. Like the features and the smart function. The release says I received it at a discount for my review but I payed full sale price.

Was hesitant at first but Im so glad I went through with it. By far the best dryer I have experienced and I travel a lot for work so Ive had my fair share of washers/dryers. This dryer can compare to some laundromat sized dryers. I can dry my king size comforter and have no issues.

I chose this dryer based on reviews and Consumer Reports information and it has exceeded expectations so far. The size is perfect for larger washing machines. The dryer is quiet and easy to operate. Needed to reverse door which was also easy to do. Hook up was easy with the recommended auxiliary kits. Overall this is performing well. Time will tell on overall reliability but again based on legacy reviews I should be happy for years to come.

I purchased my LG washer and dryer a month ago. I did my research and found that LG front load washer this model was rated very highly. I have had several LGs in the past and found that they wore out very fast. Fast forward to new technology style service and support. The dryer has several options including the steam dry which I LOVE. I sew a lot and sometimes I do not want to send my fabric to the cleaners but want a fresh smell - this does the trick. Love Love Love it. The dryer setting for bedding is awesome. My sheets get completely dry at the initial settings. So many positive features that really do what they say they will do. The redesign lint tray is also a game changer...no more digging in the machine to pick out stray lint balls.

Dryer has more than enough features and preforms very well. WiFi on the other hand is unstable from day 1 Opened a support ticket and 2 months later Im still waiting for someone to address the issue. Multiple emails stating they are escalating but nothing Tech support is none existent and a joke.

We bought this washer and dryer pair to replace an older set we bought in 2008 also front-load and direct drive. The older set was still working fine I think I replaced a water pump in 2018 we just didnt want to move them again. The new set has a lot of extra features that we havent explored yet but theyre efficient quiet easy to use and look great. The direct drive really gives peace of mind. We replaced 3 belt kits on a competing dryer between 2020 and 2023 before buying a new dryer. When we moved again it was LG all the way. Im guessing this set will see us through retirement. We did go up a model to get the all stainless drum in both. It really makes a difference in longevity and the machines not grabbing your clothes. Worth every penny.

Great washer and dryer too for everybody who wants really clean clothes. Does everything and stuff youd never expect a washer to do like several programs for just about any article of clothes bedding or even things that need a very light wash. Dont get me started on my LG matching dryer.

The Dryer itself is well built and performs very good. The Smart Home features and functionality is a Joke though and tech support is useless.WiFi drops out daily. LG claims integration with Alexa but dont expect much. The most important need is to tell you when its started or when its done and that is not possible via Alexa alone. You will need to perform some Smart Home Gymnastics via Smartthings Hubitat Home Assistant or the like to get it to do the most important function. LG does not offer any real type of Smart Home integration.
